   i have a feeling(i may be way wrong) that you’re thinking about the McVeigh thing?
   i can’t really explain it, yes i wanted him dead for what he did….
   but then at the same time, it’s like isn’t that giving into what he wants, and doing exactly what he did but only to himself and not others?
   it seems so wrong, and i don’t know how to explain why it happens, it just does. its like they’re saying it’s ok for *them* to kill someone, but for that person its not ok that he killed someone.
   i don’t know..

   It’s simple. It’s the strongest deterrent we can think of. Does it work? Who knows. When people take lives they are either out or their minds with rage or what ever, or they have no concience whatever. In either case the subtle reasoning of deterrence is lost anyway. One thing’s for sure. I’m damn glad I’m not the poor fool government employee they get to do the executions.
   Conversly, did you see where those two kids in England who beat and murdered the little toddler and left his smashed little body on the railroad tracks a couple of years ago are now free as birds?

    the death pently is not a good thing. if you kill someone, your should be killed too. the 5th commandment says “you shall not kill” thanks for your time of reading this!

    I see where alot of people are against the death pentaly. What about abortion that is killing someone too. They don’t have a chance in life to begin with I think that abortion is wrong and I don’t agree with abortion.
