What turns you off about the news?
Mostly it is the bad news…. news of war, death and all the negative things that are going on in the world…
What was the first thing that popped in your head when you first heard your first diagnosis?
I don’t remember what my reactions were exactly the first time I had a “diagnosis” LOL I’ve had so many of them…. but when I was first told I had DID I think the first thing that popped to my head was “I knew it”. I had been reading about it online and almost everything I read were things I could related too so the final diagnosis didn’t come as a surprise at all……
Why is your domain called “our hiding place”?
Well “The Hiding Place” was the name of the site I had before I got this domain but that one wasn’t available. Both of those names originally came from a poem one of us wrote a few years ago and since “Our Hiding Place” was available we decided to use that one and since we are “we” that one seemed perfect….
why is the title of your site “the thought space”?
During the first few months at this domain I shared it with a friend of mine. I had my space and she had hers and each of our spaces had a different name…. Mine was “The Thought-Space”…. The name comes from an essay written by Ralph B Allison, M.D. In his Glossary he describes the Though-Space like this: “Thoughtspace: That nonmaterial universe in which thought is the means of communication, a coexistent universe of energy which is eternal and infinite, and which existed prior to the creation of Physicalspace. The source of all life energy in Physicalspace.” while the Physicalspace is: “The “real world” we inhabit, composed of objects and forces causing them to relate to one another, limited in time and space, with rules governing how objects relate to each other.”
Have you ever been paid to play the piano?
Yes I have quite a few times actually. The first time I got paid (or actually I never saw any of the money) was when I was 6….and the last time someone paid me for playing I think was in 1991 or 1992…
your wish list goes from “Generation Terrorists” to “Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too”. Have your reading preferences always been so diverse?
Well that probably has something to do with being multiple…. We all have different likes and dislikes…. I’m not sure if this as “always” been like this though but it is really now that we are allowing ourselves to “wish for” something material like books, cds etc….
Are all of the people in “the crew” you?
Yes and no…. to me they are not “me”…. we just share a body…to me they are Theresa who likes to were black cloths and listen to “angry music” or Toni who likes Winnie-the-Pooh. As far as other people are concerned…especially people that don’t know us very well they are me…or at least a part of who I am….
What is your earliest memory?
I have very little memory of my childhood and most of what I do remember are bad memories… I guess I could say that the earliest memory is when I was around 5 and my aunt came for a visit… She staid for a week…that week was good for us and gave us lots of candy 🙂
Who would you say has influenced you most in your life?
hmmm that’s a though one… I can’t really name one person… but the person who taught us that we really meant something in this world and that we deserved to have friends was Chris, my best friend and the very first friend I’d ever had.
If you were screaming from the top of a mountain, what would your echo say?
I don’t usually scream much…especially offline….LOL but I do online sometimes and then I just go aaaaarrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhh I guess I would just scream something like that on that mountain though if it was very high I’d probably scream “Please help me down” LOL cos I don’t like heights 🙂
Just stopped in to tell I think you are wonderfull… Keep being yourself.
Hugs from me
