Ok i usually try to avoid topics like this as I always get in trouble for my views …and maybe I should this time… but one thing I don’t understand is that why do (Christian) people think people who don’t believe in god are evil or bad and think that because we don’t believe in god we believe in satan instead??
To me satan and god are a part of the same religion… There is always something that is personated as good and something that is personated as evil in every religion… I prefer to use the words good and evil rather than connecting those to a superior beings or something with a gender or a name… Also, I have learned that some good thing can be bad/evil for one person and some bed or evil thing can be good for another… Am I misunderstanding something? Am I wrong?
I think you said it just right, Gabriel. The concept of Satan doesn’t apply to our beliefs and just because you don’t follow a certain type of creed, it doesn’t mean that you’re going to burn in hell.
I’ve spent all my life trying to make people understand that I have an open mind when it comes to the concept of God and personally I will never believe there is an absolute true in any of the human-based religions.
I do believe in God and I wish more people did too, because there is definitely something out there, more powerful than us and we just have to respect it. But as I stated somewhere, we, those who believe, are more in number than those who don’t. So the job is done anyway.
I don’t like the whole idea of some people who are into certain creeds, thinking that only them are right and the rest of the world is totally wrong. It just doesn’t work like that.
I’m a Catholic because I was raised in a Catholic family, but I don’t think the rest of the people are going to burn in hell… I just think there are many many many ways to the same true, the absolute true and that is God itself, not a bunch of doctrines created by human.
I always said to my dad: “So, you think that chinese, indians and other eastern people are going to hell because they are not Catholic? That is outrageous”. Somehow he got the message 🙂
Ever since I became a Christian, I’ve learned a lot about people. I’ve also learned to love them no matter what they believe, or what they do. I don’t believe people are evil or bad because they don’t believe in God. Mislead perhaps… but I love them anyway. As a Christian I’m called to love others, just as my God loves me. Love the sinner.. hate the sin. I don’t look down on anyone. And not so long ago, I didn’t believe in God myself…I know what its like.
I admit.. I’m close-minded. God is the only way. I wasn’t raised Catholic, or Jehovah’s Witness. I was left on my own to decide what I believed. It took 21 years and so much pain, but I’ll never go back. And I’ll never judge those who aren’t Christian. I love them just as much as my Christian brothers and sisters. And I’ll never turn my back on anyone.
Love you guys!
Thanks for telling me what I think of those that don’t believe in God.
Tell me… what do I think of Liberals?
It’s all about LOVE & respect! I love Life and people no matter what they believe.
And I love you my sweet friends *hugs*
Posting an answer and my thoughts on my site Gabriel. Your not totally wrong in your feelings. God and Satan are connected.. We’re given the choice. Once a person has heard the gospel to believe or deny. Many many good people will not be in heaven, because being good is not how you gain eternal life. God Bless…..
I, personally, can’t wait to get to Hell. Even if it is eternal torment and damnation, it couldn’t be any worse than having to listen to people argue endlessly about religion.
i mock religion’s middle men. they exist to oppress.
