I have so much to do but so little time to do it… My music site is in desperate need for a make-over…. I won’t get rid of that layout though…. I am probably one of very few…maybe 3 to 5 people who are allowed to use one of Noah’s beautiful photographs for my layout…. but I added a registration script to it about two months ago without setting any kind of a notice up there…that requires everyone who wants to download my music to register for a username and password… One of the features of that script is that you need to sign up with a valid email address and validate your account before you can download anything and i’m getting a lot of bounced applications because people are putting in email addresses that don’t exist… like donald@duck.com or just random letters, an @ sign and dot com at the end… I guess most of those people will just sign up again if they really want to download my music once they get the validation message on their screen as the number of downloads are getting higher and higher…
This is what the current top 5 list looks like:
1 Rachmaninov – Piano Concerto No. 3 (1) | 1416 |
2 Chopin – Nocturne Op 9 No 1 | 924 |
3 Chopin – Funeral March | 784 |
4 Rimsky-Korsakov – Flight of the Bumblebee | 492 |
5 Liszt – Liebestraum | 467 |
This is both a little scary and/or overwhelming in a way… as well as making me feel appreciated… not to mention the comments left on my guest-book or received through email… comments from people that tell me that my playing is as good or even better than of some of the world’s top pianists… I am proud of that… very proud… but also a bit sad knowing that it’s (almost) all in the past now…
