This made me laugh for some weird reason
…and yes… I know I’m weird
…or maybe it’s a hint that I should put up a notice on the old site that I have moved my journal? ….so should I? …or shouldn’t I? that’s the big question that I keep asking my self… but I just can’t seem to make up my mind about that even though I have made a new index page already…. so I wonder…. what do you think if anything?
Hi Gabriel….this is Sarah(dgray..probably don’t remember me)…but I read your site…and since you moved, there haven’t been too many comments, so I thought I’d post one. You’re wondering whether you should post a link to your new journal on your old site….but wouln’t that bring about the same traffic you were trying to get away from? I’m afraid that posting a link will bring about the same um…uneasiness? that you were trying to avoid. But in the end, you should do, I think, what feels most comfortable to you…after all, your journal is extremely personal to you…and you want to feel comfortable posting, rather than feeling like you want to “hide”…..hmm..Well, I hope my looong babble could be of some help…and I hope you’re doing well…..
Good Wishes to you and your family, Sarah..
Hey Yes sure I remember you 🙂
uhm you are right… the trafic that I was avoiding will probably come to this site…and I guess that is why I haven’t put the link up yet… but yet at the same time I honestly miss the trafic i was getting at the old site… not the weird comments and/or emailes really…. but all the rest… The hits on my counter and access logs… the random emails… I guess that in a way I am missing the attention… (Pathetic ….I know… :ashamed: ) and like you said I’m not getting as many comments here like on the old site…so it kinda doesn’t feel the same… if that makes sense…. though most of my posts are crossposted to my livejournal where people are commenting…. I also know that this site won’t be “hidden” forever… I’m already getting hits from search engines and not to mention blog spiders… but if I do decide to put the link up… I probably won’t do it until after the holidays though…
Well…you have to realise that it won’t be the same…at least not for a while anyway. Even though this site is a continuation for you, it is basically a new site. When you started The Thought-Space, I’m willing to bet that readership was low at first…..but over time, you managed to build up a sort of fanbase…and, with time, the same thing will happen here.
Sarah..:)
It’s been a while since i started doing this (online journaling) My “open” first entry was posted on October 31st 2000… and yeah there weren’t many people who read my site back then… pretty much just a few close friends… I started doing this a long before then though just not “out there in the open” so to speak…
Do what you think is what is best for you. You could always continue posting there and save this for posts you prefer NOT sharing with absolutely everybody… well, cept us 😉
Hehe
I am sure you will make the choice that is best for you!
AHA, there you are!! I found you in the referrers of my counter, thank God. I was scared you might have left the internet or so.
Hmm..what I think? If this is a completely new start for you, don’t put up a ‘moved’ page at your old address. That’d be no new start then..dragging along the past. But that is just me?
Gabriel, can I link you with your new address?
Take care..*hugs*
I’m going to echo what everyone else has said and say, Do what feels right. But honestly, I think the new index page is plenty. Leave the rest up to everyone else and just follow your muse. 🙂
