Since I know there are people who still come and check this blog of mine and who are not on my Facebook friend list… I thought I would update and fill you in on what has been going on with me lately…

But first a little pre-story… Most of this… if not all is related to my freak suicide attempt nine years ago…

On August 10th I went in for an endoscopic procedure where the plan was to stretch or dilate my esophagus. My esophagus has strictures and/or scar tissue which are causing it to be almost closed. That darn thing hasn’t been in a very good shape to say the least but so far, manageable… but recently it has gone beyond that, leaving be unable to swallow anything… even my own saliva is repeatedly getting in my lungs and causing trouble…

Anyway… during the procedure… mentioned above… they didn’t get that far to do any dilation as they discovered a new mass in my upper part of my esophagus and well… they didn’t like the look of it and decided to take a biopsy… There were some other complications during the procedure so they kept me in hospital until Wednesday 12th… but to make a long story short… the next day my doc called me and Sunna in and told us I had cancer in my esophagus… and I had to have more tests in order to find out more… and…what to me has been a very long wait to figure out what was waiting for me in terms of treatment… but I can be thankful it was caught early…

It’s been known for a while that my esophagus is fucked (for the lack of a better wording) and needed to be removed… so knowing that… my doctors have agreed… that will be the plan… However… for me and my gut… there are some factors that needed further looking into… At this time there is however 99% chance that this will happen and there even is a temporary date for it now… September 16th… but I will be having some further pre-op tests and a meeting with the doctor who will be doing the surgery on the 14th…

I don’t want to give up the location or where the op will take place for security reasons… and possibly a little paranoia on my part as well… So for those who know already please don’t post that info in public… but for those who are seriously curious or for whatever reasons both mine and Sunna’s emails are open to any questions, concerns or anything you want to know… don’t be shy!

I don’t know if this is going to be my last post or not before the op or not… I do have some things I want done before that… so I don’t know… but who knows? I have asked Sunna to put updates on my Facebook wall… (If you want to… feel free to use the next few days to add me as a friend and I’ll add you back)… However I know not everyone is on there so maybe I will ask her to put something on here as well… but we’ll see…
