Today was a noticeable improvement from yesterday. Yesterday Gabriel was in and out the whole time I was there with more “outs” than “ins”. Today it was the other way around! 🙂 He spoke to me and was much more with me than he was yesterday and of course he sends his love to all of you 🙂
When I asked him he told me he is in pain, especially when they move him around which seems pretty often but necessary for his recovery. They have him doing some breathing and leg exercises a few times every hour and also while I was there they had him sit up on the side of the bed a few times as well. I could see it on his face he was in pain each time and apparently he noticed me looking at him with a sympathetic look on my face and told me it was “not a big deal” See? That’s my guy! 🙂
